THE APES

Our Guide and Chris with an ape.

These apes were pets of former colonists and abandoned centuries ago. They are now protected and number over 250. They are bold, brash and sometimes nasty. Tourists are besieged almost immediately. They jump on (and into) vehicles and people and will bite without much provication. No doubt they think they OWN Gibraltar!
