EL MORO NATIONAL MONUMENT
INSCRIPTION ROCK

We were in AWE of this monument. El Morro National Monument in NE New Mexico. I had no idea how incredible this place is. 200-400 years ago travelers inscribed their names at the base of this huge cliff..long before the first settlers landed at Plymouth Rock. It is off the neaten path today, but hundreds of years ago, it was an oasis in the prairie. Since it was winter, we could not make the trek to the top of the rock to see the indian ruins, but we'll be back!!! In the meantime, visit the official website on this National Monument.
