ALMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO

We had a schedule, so the drive through New Mexico was quick. Next on our list was White Sands National Park, just outside Almogordo.

Almogordo is in a lovely valley with only one main road going through it (must be horrible traffic in the summer). Peanuts are grown here!!

Their bridge prove they are prepared for flash floods.

White Sands Military Base is here, with adequate warnings for low flying aircraft.
