WHITE SANDS NATIONAL PARK

Next on our list was White Sands National Park, just outside Almogordo.

We stopped at many of the information signs to find out more about this natural wonder....

And, with nobody around, we decided to let the dogs run...they had a blast!!!

This is a dry lakebed....salt forms a crusty crystaline sand on the surface.
